Donor Site Morbidity of Nonvascularized Bone Graft: A Systematic Review

Objective: To evaluate the donor site morbidity of iliac and fibular nonvascularized bone graft after mandibular resection. Material Methods: This study was guided by Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) in PubMed, Proquest, Science Direct, Ebsco. A total 12 studies met criteria humans using grafts reconstruction Results: greater proportion patients received (88.9%) than (11.1%). Of 385 cases graft, 153 (40%) experienced complications at site, whereas 48 two (4%) site. Hemorrhage, fracture, infection requiring debridement, hematoma were major complications. Conclusion: The rate fibula tended to be lower that ilium (40%). Patient age defect size not significantly correlated with occurrence sites either or fibula.
